6th Annual Summer Arts Camp!
The sixth annual Summer Arts Camp will be held July 21-25 from 1pm-5pm at Joshua Tree Elementary School. Sign up early to ensure your spot. You can download the application and flyer here and mail it to address provided on flyer, or come by the Living Arts Gallery at 55840 29 Palms Hwy. on Sundays from 11am-3pm to sign you kid up. Scholarships available.

Chuckwalla's Coming!
The fifth annual Chuckwalla Fest - music and arts festival will be held again this year at Pappy & Harriet's May 30, 31 & June 1. Funds raised go towards our annual summer arts camp which is offered at low or no cost to local children.

In response to the recent Sawtooth Complex Fire that damaged so much of our community, HDLAC is leading an effort to repair burn areas by holding workshops and educational seminars to educate people about fire recovery. We are also coordinating a multi-organizational re-seeding and replanting effort. More information is available by contacting the High Desert Living Arts Center.

The 4th Annual HDLAC Summer Arts Camp wrapped up this week, with over 60 local kids participating. With the Sawtooth Fire falling in the middle of registration week, attendance was slightly down from last year - but everyone who participated enjoyed a great variety of art and craft classes taught by local artists (and a break from the summer heat).
